how do I decide who is an appropriate tenant?
The reason we ask for extensive references from prospective tenants is to try to ensure we place appropriate people in your property. These include seeking personal, banking, employment and previous landlord references. Tenants also undergo a thorough credit check through a licensed agency. We will forward these to you for your perusal. We want you to feel comfortable about the people you let to.
In the case of company lets, we also provide a background on the company responsible for the tenancy agreement. In some circumstances, particularly with student tenants, we will request a guarantor underwrites the rental commitment.
